I just applied my final coat of Z2 on my car. I am letting it dry for a few minutes right now before I take the dried coat of Z2 off. I am planning on putting ZCS on it afterwards. My question is, do I have to wait 6 hours (it says 6 hours for Z2 to cure without ZFX on a hot day) before I can put the ZCS on or can I just apply this stuff right after I finish taking the Z2 off. Oh ya, also, do I need to apply another coat of Z6 on the paint before I apply the ZCS or not? Thanks.

Z2 and Z5 without ZFX needs some time to allow for crosslinking. This ensures the sealant has cured and is giving you max protection and gloss.

Any liquid used on top of non-ZFX'd sealant will stop the crosslinking process. So, yeah, you should wait till this afternoon to apply ZCS. After 6 hours or so a quick wipe down with Z6 will remove any dust particles, pollen, fingerprints or any accumulated stuff before you apply the ZCS.

Soooo......

1. Apply Z2
2. Wait a few hours (fire up the bbq, watch you some NASCAR from Pocono, wash another vehicle, etc)
3. Quick wipedown with Z6
4. ZCS application
5. Done! Watch the final episode of the Sopranos.

Excellent, thank you for clearing it up for me. I will wait till later tonight to apply the CS and be done with that car. I have 3 weeks to do my gf's 06 Corolla now.

Another question...if I use the accelerator with the Z2, I can use the clear seal immediately after my second coat?
