Title says it all. I usually change the oil around 8,000km and I may have to push it to 10,000km this year.

Any advantage that the Toyota filter has over the CQP? Thanks in advance ladies and gents.

No advantage ... disadvantage in terms of efficiency if that matters to you.

You want to go 10,000 km with rubber adbv and gasket plus lower efficiency media? .. CQP gives you silicone adbv and gasket plus better media afaik.

Toyota Densos actually have a silicone ADBV ... some are dark greenish color, and some are black.

Thanks gents. I think I’ll return the Toyota filter and go grab the CQP premium.

For my mom’s Rav 4, I think the next change will have a CQP filter as well. Efficiency is better. Cheers and happy motoring.

Of all the many filters in the Fram 4967 size I have bought, dwelled on, inspected and pondered over, yesterday I put on the Denso N1. I had several lined up, but since the N1 has a quality silicone adbv, deep pleats, and the media has been changed from the older ones, decided to stick with what Toyota uses. Engine sounds quiet. New Toyota 0w-16 may be most of it. New oil always sounds quieter to me.
So I hope the $50 worth of hobby money spent was fun enough for a while, filters galore.
