Youtube and FireFox?

Why can't I view YouTube videos on FireFox?

Probably because Firefox checks to see if you have the latest flash update.

Check here:

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Also make sure you have the latest Firefox update.

Click Help and about on the top menu of Firefox to make sure you are at 34.0.5

My Firefox told me my adobe flash was old today too... use chrome or download the updates

I had go to the Adobe website and install the latest Flash version to get YouTube to play on FF.

Yup, got the latest Adobe Flash and latest FF. Still not working.

Look to the right of the back arrow and click on the icon to enable the flash.

Well what happens when you try to view a Youtube video? Is it just Youtube or all external video sites?

I can view youtube using chrome or through FB, just not directly.

What do you mean "not directly"

I thought Youtube doesn't require flash anymore when their site is used directly.
I have no flash player or any Adobe software yet I can use Youtube through Firefox.
I can't play Youtube videos embedded in other sites, however, those do require flash.

It may depend on a particular video. I think some will play using HTML5, but others may require Flash, not sure...
