Thought this would be an interesting thread to start. This way not only do we find out what your next oil choice will be but would be good to see some pics of bottles/brands.

Mention what car it will be going in including year and how many miles/kilometers you plan to keep it in use. Also mention how many total miles/km's your car has/will have at the oil change. Lastly mention the oil you'll be draining out as well.

I'll start.

Car: 2010 Mercedes Benz E350
Total miles on car at change: 10,000
Oil Choice: Royal Purple 0w40
Planned usage on new oil: 5000-10,000 miles
Oil draining out: Red Line 0w40(5000 miles in use)

Still haven't completely decided, but the one pictured is one of the potential options unless Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40 becomes readily available locally at a good price.

Car: 2002 530i
Total miles on car at change: about 80K
Oil Choice: Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w40 or 10w30
Planned usage on new oil: 1 year (probably less than 5K miles)
Oil draining out: Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40 (will have about 7K miles in use when I'm ready to drain it in November)

In a 2010?? Id be running the spec'ed oil. . . .

Havoline. Not too big on using synthetic oil in older car albeit yours is very low in mileage.

Yes I am. The first fill in this car after dumping the FF at 1000 miles was Royal Purple 5w40. Worked perfectly fine. I like Red Line 0w40 a lot(enough to start a thread here on how impressed I was)but I think at this young age of the car and still breakin-in 5000 miles is enough on any oil to get more contaminants/remnants from the factory out.

My thoughts as well. Only reason to change to RP is the little picture near the top of the bottle which shows you how to hold the bottle when you are pouring the oil out j/k

have 20 qts of Mobil 1 0w40 and 4 Mobil 1 filters as well. For $5 a qt for the Pennzoil Ultra Euro, I couldnt pass it up.
