Your favorite Carplay adapter

Currently in the market for carplay adapter. I am looking at MINIX CA525 and Carlinkit mini 3. Which would you get or have any other suggestions? Thanks

Not sure what you are looking for. If you just want to convert your wired CarPlay system to wireless then just about all of them work well. They seem to be in the $40 range. Purchased this for my wife’s Mercedes which had wired CarPlay and now it’s wireless. Works great!
In my Lexus I installed a BeatSonic CarPlay adapter which allows a car which did NOT have CarPlay to use it. Works great as well, but about $700!

Great info, but it's not for the Camry though.

Also, i wanted wireless connection.

Yes, it does.

Carlinkit Mini Ultra, I have three of them purchased at different times for $39 to $49 depending on Amazon's mood.
Excellent all the way, immediate connection, no issues so far. First one bought last year, used day in and day out.

The only complaint is the thing is so long range that my phone connects to it when the kid turns in the driveway, AND sometimes it can be really sticky (with Android). Meaning - if the car outside is on accessory, my phone picks it up and connects, and even if I disable Bluetooth the blasted thing manages to reactivate it back. Or could be a setting in my phone, so I don't know who's the culprit here

what kid of car? i just spent way to much money on a replacement usb hub for my Ford, that as long as you have sync 3.4 it has the wireless built in.
the connection is a bit finicky, but it mostly just works.
when I say way too much, it was over $100... but it also doesn't tie up one of the 2 usb ports, ( 1 usb-A, 1 usb-C )
should mention that I don't own any apple devices, so my experience is with Android Auto, but same part, for both.

that was my big complaint with the previous adapter I had used... the only way I could get it to NOT connect wirelessly was to unplug the adapter... there are occasions where i want to use the native infotainment system, and not AA...
the new hub i got lets me exit back to the factory stuff just by pushing the "button" on the app list with the FORD logo..

On my ‘21 MB GLC 300 it connects quickly but I can toggle between CarPlay and native infotainment on the touchscreen. No issues.

Can't you hit the home button and it'll exit out of car play to the Camry's head unit?

We're talking about your phone switching to carplay or Android auto while you are NOT in the car.

You're sitting on your couch at home, kid parks in the driveway and boom your phone switches to your car because the thing is so sensitive

Right, but it sounds like @earlyre wants to switch back and forth between carplay/AA and his native radio instead.
