I had a good friend die when he was 31 years old of a massive heart attack. The Dr, said it a flaw in the heart . Heriditary[sp] life doesn't have any guarantees.

Ouch. Lost a good friend at 40, and he was a dance instructor, very fit!

We have a female friend whose hubby had a stroke at 33, but was extremely lucky it was minor. A wakeup call.

Steve S, oh so true, there is no guarantee on tomorrow!

My 9 day old daughter had a stroke, as well as my 60 year old friend a few days after early retirement. It can happen anytime, to anyone. Live each day as if it's your last folks.

My Uncle(68) had a MASSIVE stroke back on March. He was in very good shape. They did not think he would make it and he has a lot of brain damage since we did not find him till 12 hours arfer it happened at his home. He is making a better recovery then anyone would have ever thought. Has his memory back and can almost move himself around on his own. I pray he can keep making progress and maybe live on his own again because nursing homes are aweful, even the nice upscale ones.

Excellent advice. Had my heart problems last year. They said it was a heart attack. I really don't believe it but sure did feel like it at the time. I was perfectly healthy. My sisters rejecting her new lungs... don't even moan and groan around her she'll let you know just how good you have it!

I'm 33 yrs old and have been healthy all my life. I just recovered from a right lung fungal mass that caused my pulmonary artery to bleed. no chest pain, no shortness of breath, no fever, nothing. that fungal infection in my right lung grew slowly over time until it started to infiltrate my pulmonary artery. first symptom, coughing up blood that was pouring out my nostrils. I was going to bleed to death if I didn't have surgery. the doctors said "you must have inhaled this histoplasmosis fungus in the air from somewhere and your immune system didn't fight it off"

on another note, my dad told me that his mom (my grandmom) hemorraged death in the 1940's. he doesn't remember what she hemorrhaged from because he was only about 4 years old at the time.
