You know you are a Bob is the Oil Guy addict when..

1) Your oil stash is about to drop below a 6 year supply, and you start to get anxieties when you can't find a premium synthetic oil for under $2 with rebate to replenish your supply.

2) You mix different brands and weights of oil hopping to come up with that one special cocktail you think your engine will like. Like an alcoholic experiments with different drinks: If it is an experiment, it isn't an addiction.

3) The latest VOA of your favorite oil shows 15ppm less moly than you thought it contained, so you spend a week in therapy dealing with the psychological trauma.

4) People who you use to know now avoid you, and you here them say in a whisper as you approach, "here comes that oil nut."

5) You schedule your family's summer vacation around your engine's oil life monitor.

Please add your own.

Just take some tools, and an oil & filter & drain pan with you & change it on vacation. That's like vacation for a BITOGer anyhow!

While driving, you look down at the odometer and think "Oh boy, I have an oil change coming up!". (Yes, you do know exactly when the oil changes are due.)

You're more enthusiastic in mild weather, but you're still enthusiastic in bitter cold or oppressive heat. (cold weather calls for a hot coffee, hot weather calls for a nice iced tea, to go with the oil change)

You stop by Advance Auto while on vacation to see if the they have Maxlife in 5qt jugs because there is a great rebate going on.

You actually talk to strangers in the Walmart oil aisle and make several product recommendations

You have a bumper sticker that says "Cram a Fram"

Your lawnmower is older than the Andy Griffith show and still runs like a dream

You go to work on monday and start small talk at the water cooler by saying "I can't wait to see if my mileage goes down since I changed to 10w30"

You look down on yuppies that go to those places where some guy you have never met drains the black gold out of your car for you.

You have more citrus hand cleaner in your garage than should be legally allowed.

You have family members text you "is it time to change my oil?" since they know you have a spreadsheet saved on your computer

You check your air pressure more than once a week.

Your keep on waiting for those christmas tree air fresheners to come out with the WD40 or gear oil scent.

Your garage floor looks like it has been painted black, but you know better (darn leaky drain pan)

You can change your own oil in under 10 minutes

You have a special outfit that you change oil in, and tell your wife not to wash it "for good luck"

John

Oh yeah, I did this once on a trip to Cleveland so I could pass Murray's and get a free with rebate deal. (Murrays is O'reillys now.)

You grew up hating math and science but ppm's and percents now make excellent sense 15 years too late.

You also have a bad memory but know 3614 3600 1516 7713 3956 6607 and don't need to keep them together...but have to look up your own mother's cell phone every single time a family member wants it.

You make sure no one is in the oil aisle at wal-mart. It's not to pass gas but you treat it as equal embarrassment.

I think your sig should be included as one..

You bring a camera along into wal-mart and pass on a dozen "peopleofwalmart" opportunities just to snap a pic of another 20.00 5/qt synthetic rollback
