You know anything'bout falcons?

I have a friend that found a baby Falcon in his yard. He seems to be eating very well. What should he know from someone else's experience?

You’re not supposed to touch birds of prey here.. I imagine California is no different.

If it’s injured and the DNR is called, they’d rather you leave it be than you help it.
 
Perhaps the parent has been killed, or perhaps the parent has been scared off. Either way, contact a bird of prey rescue organization.

It won't be able to learn how to hunt and feed itself without some rehab if it's raised by humans. Birds of prey typically learn how to hunt from the parents by hanging around together until they become self sufficient.
