http://www.earthclinic.com/latest_posts.html was posted sometime back, but with millions of new viewers and new ailments popping up from time to time this is a good read. Lots of stuff on everyday cures. Some seem silly and some make sense, but you can decide. If you have ever been sick or are ill now, this may help you research new ideas.

I note that the enviroweenie "pig tail" lights now are accused of putting out enough UV to cause skin cancer. 25 dollar a shot LED units are "safe"... though, for now. One thing the weenies DON'T ever mention is that heat produced by the horrible "standard" heat producing light bulb helps warm your dwelling in the cold months. If you have electric heat, the "savings" for switching to a pig tail are NIL. I have some "wonderful" pig tails which don't start worth a darn in cold weather so I change them out in the fall. Please don't put me on enviro double secret probation.

Source? Fluorescent lamps have been around in widespread use long before the advent of CFL and I've never heard anything about them being linked to skin cancer. I sure hope not, as I'm sitting under about 12 4' lamps right now

Yes, but if you stop listening to everyone with said agendas and just think about what you're doing, you may find you already know what is unsustainable and what is not. The real question is not whether anyone knows what is destructive and what is not, but rather "Do you care?"

No kidding.

Then again, anyone that has grown plants under fluorescent lights would know they emit UV light!
