Here are a couple of battery tests from the TopDon battery tester. The first one is a X2 Power from Batteries Plus, which I believe is the same battery as the Odyssey Extreme. The second is a Diehard Platinum AGM from advance, which is a Clarios Battery. The third is a AC Delco regular flooded. They are all the same 24F. If these battery testers are accurate, this X2 is pretty impressive compared to the rest. They are expensive, but they appear to be superior to your normal off the shelf batteries. CCA far exceeds specs, and internal resistance is the lowest of the bunch. Plus 48 month free replacement.

I’ve had 2 X2 batteries. In both cases they were the last battery I installed before later selling the car. They are a different class than anything in the regular offerings.

They definitely look solid. I'm not up on all of the battery industry news, but I know that several years ago it seemed that Northstar was building the highest quality, virgin lead batteries. I think that they may have been acquired or merged with Enersys (Oddysey) and that is where we are now. From what I've seen in the auto service industry that I work in, the JCI/Clarios quality has somewhat fallen off from what it used to be. The East Penn batteries still seem to be high quality, but they aren't on the same level as this X2 battery by any means. I have an Easy Penn AGM, Amazon AGM, and a Clarios AGM in BCI 35 that I will do some testing on and post Monday.

Agree on all. I used to be a JCI guy all the way and started seeing quicker degradation and/or failure. East Penn has been head and shoulders above JCI products in my last ~8 years of using them. For a personal vehicle I consider X2 if it makes sense. Currently we have 2 vehicles with OEM batteries, so am currently lacking “X2 club” membership!

Not a battery guy, the choice is limited here. The standard to me is oem, my 2019 silverado work truck on k km still has oe.
