I was wondering if Toyota WS ATF is the same as GM Dexron VI? GM refers to it as a Global Standard and Toyota, a World Standard. From what i gather, they are both synthetic. Hmm?

Totally different. WS is a low viscosity fluid (a bit lower than DEXRON-VI actually) but that's where any similarity ends. They are very different in both chemistry and formulation.

...but Amsoil will meet and/or vastly exceed the specs for both, I'm sure.

It sure will, plus anything else that you can think of, oh and by the way it will also 'exceed' any other spec that might be written in the future. Quite an easy claim to make if you never get approved and/or never produce any solid data (it's called smoke and mirrors) otherwise known as B####.

Aw, c'mon. You know they find someone with a car requiring that fluid, offer 'em a "free" transmission service, put their fluid in, drive it around the parking lot, and voilà...it's been tested and approved.

Thanks Stooge. (now that sounds funny)

I was enjoying the banter - something about this Sunday's Dilbert came to mind.....clowns with ants in their pants and hair on fire running around solving a non-existent problem.....
