Bridgestone RE970 for the best all season. Or wait for the new Michelin Pilot Sport coming soon

I run conti dws on both the legacygt and forester. God help me if the forester can't go any where it wants to. I ran the LGT with almost no tread left on the last set of conti's before they called them dws, through 8-10" of snow with ice under it in most places. The LGT was lowered almost 2" on coilovers at that time. The only thing that would stop me is if the snow were to get deep enough that it covered the bumper and then some. It did destroy my under tray, unfortunately.

Shortly after we got the forester, I had to go out Get some emergency kero in a storm. Got up to the highway and the plows had been ordered off the roads because conditions were too bad. That was on the Yokohama geolanders, which really don't even compare to the dws in winter performance.
