Newbie to summer tires--Help Please.

Is it too late to return the Hankooks that you ordered? You don't need an actual winter tire just for cold temps. An all-season would be a better choice as it'll provide better dry traction, and you can get an all-season in the ultra high-performance category that will have a more responsive sidewall than a winter tire, still maintain flexibility in the cold, but also not sacrifice as much of the driving feel that you're used to. Dedicated winter tires are for snow/slush/ice.

Holy moly. Snatch that!
Bridgestone Alenza 001 at $117.58 ($470.32) unknow dot or
Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 at $138.44 ($553.76) 2021 Production
For the 11 MDX. I know the two tires are totally different. If I already have winter set at 8/32 left do I need the A/T tires?
My current tires, Dueler, are at 4-6/32nds with tread cracks, probably due to age dot xx17.

You need A/T tire if you doing off road stuff. Generally A/T tires are not that good in snow. They will keep you moving, but braking and handling? Not so much. They are too hard.
If you have snows, Alenza all day. TR usually lists DOT if it is older. If it is newer, they don’t.
