I'm glad the price has come down so much as I'm saving at least $200 a month between my car and my wife's car. But I worry that once the economy picks up, the price will be right back where it was before.
 
You could save even more $$$ if you sold your Corvette and got a 4 cyl econobox. Just kidding.....we know how much you love it and 30 MPG on the highway is great for a V-8.

Even when gas was $4.49 per gallon, I wasn't mad or upset cause the bottom line is if I need to buy gas, I gotta pay the price regardless. Its almost like paying a toll at a toll plaza.
 
I took a 2900 miles 12 day road trip last summer. Gas expense was a distant 3rd place after lodging and food. It was still cheap transportation compared to other options, assuming there actually has been viable options to the places I went.

You would think prices would be shooting back up.

People can now afford to drive around again...............:)
