I have a vehicle that was built when SJ was the current spec. Still has the original catalytic converters and "She just loves it" and "She just gobbles it up".

Two 2GR-FEs (5w30) one 2AZ-FE (5w20) and one Honda 1.8L (5w20). Lawnmower, generator, power washer.
I am pretty sure all of these engines will run just fine on a 10w30. Why not just go bulk and buy a 30 gallon drum from a distributor and do away with all of the different flavor nonsense. I change all at 5000 miles anyway.

Your engine may like diesel oil all the time. But I'll bet your catalytic converter won't like it all the time.
