would you buy refurb mouse on Ebay?

So does it mean it's used or not necessarily? I would avoid if used. The microswitches wear out over time. They have a limited life, so it's kind of like buying half worn tires - the better half was already enjoyed by someone else.

weary = tired of
leery = concerned about

Sorry it is driving me nuts on here.

I would go new if it includes more than a 30 day warranty and considering the loose definition of "refurbished".

I buy wired Microsoft mice for $1.48 at the RW&B on Saturdays. Wireless maybe $2.48 or $2.98

For something so cheap, I'd just get a new one. You're only saving $12, and mice are something that do wear out pretty regularly.

I actually prefer corded mice and keyboards- less to break and have trouble ultimately, and you can't really lose a corded mouse either.

Mice and keyboards are cheap enough to never by used or refurb. Shoot, MicroCenter has keyboards for 3.xx and change, and mice are about the same. If you want high tech, I bought a LogiTech wireless keyboard/mousepad combo for 29.99 there a couple weeks back. One thing on the desk, works great.

I tend to go high end on mice, I have a Logitech MX-518 at work and at home, with a spare. Hands down the best mouse I have ever used. I loathe wireless mice and keyboards, always fail for me at the worst times.

I am probably going to have too.

I have used the Logitech Trackman series since it came out. Wide with a thumb ball fits me just fine. The problem is they are made for a year or 2 then replaced with a narrower model. Each time I look for a replacement, all I find are horded models on fleabay for $200.

Now I am up the creek because all Logitech makes are those skinny finger ball models that look like tadpoles.

Forget baseball cards and rare coins. Stock up on trackballs and sell them at a 6-700% profit.

NO!
I picked up a Wireless M125 at BJ's for under $10.

Look at Staples - you can get a brand new M510 for $30. Other wireless mice start at $9.99 for Logitech.

I have an aversion to all things Microsoft but I'd imagine they have similar deals.

For the difference in price, buy new.
You might be able to find a good wireless mouse quite cheaply if you check the various catagory killers as well as Walmart and office supply chains.

Cool - will go new; Thanks for the feedback, everyone

I think M510 will be the one for me, as I am used to the side-buttons (back/forward pages when browsing)

I just don't buy expensive mouse, in fact I've never bought one since 1996. But if I were to, I'd buy an expensive mouse refurbished just because of cosmetic issues.
