Would I regret buying these brake pads?

Would you regret it? Probably not, up until the moment that it might break apart from the backing. But I doubt it will.

If you want to spend the same amount of money, RockAuto has "brand name" pads for just as cheap for front+rear pads. I just did a search on it for a 2005 Impala and you can get Centric C-TEKs for $30 front + rear.

Cheap doesn't always mean inferior, but I'd rather buy a cheap name brand brake pad even if made in China over a who knows what, AutoShack brand. Rock Auto has rear ceramic pads from AC Delco, Bendix or Bosch for $15 and fronts for under $20. A no brainer. Once bought some $5 Remsa pads on closeout and worked as well as $50 oem pads.

$36 isn't want I'd consider a cheap/inexpensive pad. So there you have overpriced and probably dubious quality, not a good combo.

You can get top tier pads on Rockauto for less than that. If you want to go cheap, look out for closeout specials on RA where you can get good brand name pads for half off or less.

I like the C-TEKs... used them on many customer jobs and a few of my own, never an issue.

No brand brake pads will likely be fine as long as you are ok with the possibility of squeaking, grabbing, not grabbing, tons of black dust, and/or short life. Personally I’m going to save $ elsewhere and go with one of the brands mentioned above.

Years ago I fitted some Centric Semi-Metallic $11.70 brake pads on my Audi A6. Just a experiment. They are fine on the car as a DD. Still there after 40k miles. I have been amazed. Never would have thought they were any good.

The one thing I wouldnt want to chance Is cheap unknown brake pads. If they fail you can get into an accident and hurt yourself or someone else. Spend a bit more and buy something that's important.

Just my 2 cents.

Taking a chance on cheap brake pads, you have to be prepared to change them early and then go and buy something else or something that is proven. So in the end it may cost you more than going with more expensive, but proven brand right from the beginning.

I took a chance on cheap pads on my old Mazda 3 brake pads and they turned out to be of very good quality, both fit and finish as well as braking characteristics. However it was not a totally blind move as my parts guy recommended these and said many mechanics buy them from him and don't have any complaints.
Cheap ebay stuff is more of a gamble IMO.

I wound up getting these from RA...
