I know I should not have done it from dead stop. 45 mph to 70 mph with fully warmed up Jeep is a better way. They say it is good for the health of the Pentastar so I do it once in a while

The little guy is pretty zippy thanks to 4.88

I did too with my 2014 Grand Cherokee a couple years ago. In 4-Low. I wasn’t too kind to it lol.

With my lifted 2 door if I drive erratically like that you will see me in the news. GC is such a stable SUV 😎

4.88s are amazing, my little Jeep carries 37s as if they are nothing. Best mod I did to my Jeep
Only real issue I have on the Cherokee with them is the driveshafts don't like how fast they rotate on the highway.

Very nice for rock crawling. Mudding and plowing through deep snow ... I think it's a wash. I can't get wheel speed

I run 5.38's with a 4:1 'case and first gear in my tranny is 7.05:1. 151:1 crawl ratio.
You do know you’re supposed to navigate OVER the land and not simply pull it out of the way right?

If my math is right, and not accounting for losses, if the engine puts out 250lb ft your tires are being asked to transmit almost 38,000lb ft of torque 😳

She can drive up hills without me in it. LOL I'm actually running a built AMC 2.5L, and although better than stock, it's still not a powerhouse. I have looked at doing an LS swap for years, as the transmission is a Muncie SM420 (so just a bellhousing change), but it runs great, and bops down the trail just fine.

Are you suggesting I shouldn't drive 80 mph? Sometimes I do that in a straight line on a 70 mph highway.
I need to change my diff fluid every 20k miles to be safe.

This looks fun 😃

To Nick1994:
After your left turn at 2:20 -given all the car+truck crash videos I watch- I was expecting you to drive off the road or flip over.

So glad you didn't.
Nah, lots of weight, low center of gravity, wheel spin, and low speed it’s not a concern. Also lots of years off-roading.

Remember years back I had an old Camry?
