Watching these games is completely addicting. I will just catch the USA game tomorrow - GER v. POR tomorrow will be great!!! I have to work a some point!)

That Swiss game wow. The Franch game I say good on them, but Honduras was just not up to that task. That division looks a bit slack. Well I'm just saying that because I have Swiss and ECU in both my bracket picks!!!

Looking forward to Spurs-Heat in a few hours to clear my mind, LOL.

Then rush home from work Monday evening to see USA-Ghana.

Soccer (Football to everybody else) is universal language, I don't need to understand Spanish to enjoy the match. I rather watch live soccer match on 52" HDTV than 14" laptop.

A laptop can be easily connected to your HDTV.

My laptop is fairly old (Window XP), it doesn't have HDMI connector only USB.

I can't believe it took me this long to find this thread. I grew up playing baseball, but in HS my best friend was the best soccer player at the school. In college my roommate was on the soccer team. I watched almost every game for both of them and fell in love with the sport.

My summation of the 3 games I have seen so far. Costa Rica has incredibly beautiful female fans! The team was pretty awesome to watch in the 2nd half.

Rooney looks lost out there. Put a fork in England. Italy looked pretty good, but I just don't think they have what it takes to go really far this year.

Argentina looked ok vs. Bosnia Her.... Messi is IMO the best player in the world. He knows what his teammates are going to do before they do. Messi's goal was just plain awesome. Disclaimer, I love watching Argentina....they are my favorite every WC.

I hope the USA can finally beat Ghana, but this one is a coin toss. Brazil will be tough to beat in their home country. This is going to be a great WC!

German are killing Portuguese, ahead 3:0 at half time. Portuguese main defender Pepe was red-carded, with 10 against 11 young German players Portuguese has no chance to win the match. Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo is current FIFA player of the year but didn't do much damage to Germany in the first half.

Pepe will miss the next match against USA, we have a very good chance to upset 1 of European power houses.

I would perceive this as: now we might have a bit of a chance...

We had 20-25% chance to beat Portugal as of yesterday, now without Pepe and they desperate to win therefore the back will be opened for counter attack. I think our chance is now 40-45% to win the game and that is very good chance.

We scored the fastest goal in less than 60 second in this WC so far, one of the fastest 5 goals in the history of World Cup.

Go USA !

The radio commentary I listened too driving home this evening confirmed my thoughts; Portugal is now a wounded, desperate animal fighting for their lives against US. Any chance of them being complacent and taking the US less than serious is gone. Portugal will come at us PO'ed and playing for their lives. Ironically, I would like our chances better had Portugal blown out Germany. JMO.

My thinking is a little different, they have to win next match against us and with all out attack their back will be vulnerable for counter attack. It only takes 10-15 seconds to score on counter attack.

TRUE STORY: About two years ago, I had a coworker from Nigeria. He would pontificate on and on about all his favorite 'best" players. I listened patiently, and then he asked mine. In a split second, I said "Clint Dempsey".

He busted out laughing, and with bug eyes said "WHY"? I told him there is no one tougher out on the pitch. I told him Dempsey just won't go down, he will run around all day with blood pouring out and will find a way to win.

I thought of that guy today, LOL. Clint Dempsey, Texas Tough!

Clint Dempsey is the only USA player scores in 3 WC matches. He is a tough and smart player.

Some of the credits should be given to coach Jurgen Klinsmann, he's a very good coach and he chooses players that fit into his game plan.

Sunday at 6:00 PM we will meet Portugal the wounded team. A desperate team can be beaten even they have the FIFA player of the year.

Pretty funny, as soon as the Mexico-Brazil game kicked off everything died at work. The phones are silent and you can hear all the techs in the shop watching the game on their computers. I have it on my WATCHESPN app on my computer. All the salesmen are in the customer waiting room watching the game.

Yesterday TV showed some streets in a Brazil city without any vehicle during the opening match. Almost every business was closed during match time.

World Cup is a big deal in every country but USA.

Spain vs. Chile at 3:00 PM EDT is very critical to Spain, if they don't win they will likely go home. Netherlands and Chile are likely go to elimination round.
