After the P.S. pump failure, and the belts getting chopped up, I put a 10 psi pulley on the L67 in the Caprice (I DID need a new belt, so a pulley was in order)...

kids have reported that there's massively increased wheelspin when their mother is driving.

Guess I need a Lokka now to tame the single wheel diff !!

I suppose traction control is not a feature you can engage or lock on.

On that note of traction control, my 2005 buick has that, and I cant tell a darn thing when it on or off, so what in the sam hill does it do really?

Supposed to use the ABS pump to pulse the brake at the spinning wheel. This takes the flaw of open differentials and exploits it to force power the other direction. At the same time it will limit engine power by playing with the operating parameters. Through these methods it is supposed to reduce wheel spin.

Generally, it sucks.

I don't think Eaton even makes a Detroit Locker for the ten bolts anymore (what axle does it actually have, anyway??).

But Richmond does make one (the 'Powertrax'), and it is specifically for open diff carriers as well.
