Hey guys, I was at my local federated auto parts yesterday and the commercial manager told me about their promotion on wolf’s head oil.
They’re selling it at $4.39 / quart. Pretty good price, wanted to see what the general consensus was as I might stock up on this. Talking like 6-12 gallons or so as I do alot of oil changes in my business.

I always wanted to buy some of their HDEO oils off Amazon but it's a blend that shot up in price like the rest of them did so it never did happen. Just pointing out that it's labeled API SN+ on your sales advertisement & not the latest SP.

Nothing over $3 a quart gets me excited these days. I mean, you can get Walmart Syntech for $18.64 a jug or $3.69 a quart at the regular price.

My heart leapt when I saw the title.
I was a regular customer at their www.amaliestore.com website.
Shipping was free over some very low amount...something like $28.
The site was taken down pre-Covid. I haven't checked for it recently.
Their Super Universal Synthetic Transmission Fluid worked just fine in the family's trannies which took T-IV/3309.

Yes, Amalie makes good oil. I used tons of Wolfs Head in the 70s and early 80s.

But you can get 20k oils on Walmart shelves for a dollar or two less than that. If you are slapping every 5k OCIs stickers on the glass of your customers, then why do you want to mess with small quart bottles all the time?

Go with a brand using the five quart jugs and buy those in bulk when sales exist.

Lots of people in my parts of Pennsylvania used Wolfs Head oil back in the day. For some reason, it was very popular and could be had at a good price. Personally, never ran it.

My dad had a 1997 Chevy S10 pickup with the 4cyl that he had serviced at a mom and pop gas station. All they ever used there was conventional Wolfs Head 10w30. It got totaled around 180k miles and the engine ran great. I still remember seeing the 12qt cases of Wolfs Head in the black boxes with red logo stacked on a pallet in the back of the shop.

It’s made by Amalie these days and it’s Dexos rated. I wouldn’t hesitate to run it at a good price.

I usually buy jugs or the 6 gallon eco boxes but you can’t pass up that price

Amalie bought Wolf's Head way back in 2006 from Shell. I think there was a blender located in Bradford PA because I remember driving though and seeing the tanks.
