Wix racing oil filter rust????

New here but have a question about rust in a new Wix racing oil filter? Is this acceptable? New to me car with built motor. Builder recommended wix racing. Changed Oil and filter a month ago right after receiving car as the oil had 12 months on it. Never drove car on this new oil and filter change and decided to change again since I would be storing car and didnt want racing oil in it sitting all winter. I always cut open filters on all my cars over the years. I know my OCD kicks in. I cut the one open that was 12months old and all looked fine. When I cut the new filter open that only had 10 mins run time. I know crazy for even changing the filter. It had a ton of rust on the back side of opening. Never would see it unless it was opened up. Has anyone else had this before??? Ive never seen this much? What is everyone's thoughts????

Probably rusted before it was ever installed. Live in a humid part of the country? Date code on the end cap looks like 11/13/24. What's the date code on the dome of the can?

Nope, last time I order one thru Amazon. Have to look and see what the date on can is. Called Wix and they said it must have been from storage.
