Wix 57060 off my brother’s 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi, went about 10k as the OLM was at 0%. 133k on the truck now. Used a cut-wheel to open so a few metal shavings can be seen.

That WIX looks like it could have gone another 10K. I use a WIX 51515 in my Gen 1 Tundra and go 10,000 miles between oil changes.

Thanks for the C&P.
My truck is a 2007. Every oil filter I have cut open from my engine never had any of that crud seen in this filters can. I never let my OCI's go more then 7.5K miles (about 20%) and mostly had the oil changed at 3-5K mile intervals. Will letting the OCI go for longer miles cause this crud to build up in the engine as seen caught in this filter?

It has a 133K on it and we don't know the prior history.

To the best of my knowledge it has always had bulk dealership 5w20 conventional and Mopar filters ran all the way to 0% or just beyond that till he could get it in for a change. His local dealership changed their hours and closed weekends so I’ve been changing it on weekends due to his work schedule. It could have been better well maintained for sure.
