Well folks here’s my final Wix 57055. It’s the 2nd brand new one and 3rd/ final filter from the same lot. As usual louvers look bad. However with flashlight look like decent flow. 2023 production! Pleats look ok with the exception of 1/3rd of them are spaced out super wide for some reason. Everything else look ok. No more Wix for me. Only PGI now.

Even if those louvers look "ok" with a light test, I would have put that one back on the self from a visual inspection. They look way choked down and ratty looking for my louver taste. The should have serviced the louver forming machine about 250K center tubes ago.

I agree absolutely. However I purchased several of these filters online couple years back hoarding away. Unfortunately all were from the same lot. Anyways lesson learned but it will take me years to exhaust my PGI filter cases purchased on eBay at low prices.

I picked up some RP 20-968's (supposed replacement for the Toyota TRD filter), and they had terrible louvers. Didn't even look like all four were punched on the same machine/die. Mexican filters look to have the worst QC.
