Wix 51773 filter. I run this on the 1993 240 wagon which has a remote filter mount. It allows me to run 5 quarts instead of 4.

The filter media was glued like a rock to the end caps around a metal core. As you can see the pleats are spaced perfectly.

The media measures 5.75” x 64.125”.

The filter is spec’d on the Ford F700 7 liter V8. It has the same BVP as the Mann W917, the filter for the 240 Redblock engine.

600 grams. Built like a brick privy.

Had an '82 240 and still have a 940 wagon. Like your filter arrangement but the red block engine is very stout stock. What are the bennies of your system? Also appreciate a few photos of the car. The 240 was automotive perfection.

The remote filter allows OP and OT sensors. It’s taught me a lot about oil. HTHS viscosity, oil pressures at high oil temps, low ambient temps etc. Changing the oil filter is a breeze too.

The car is configured for heavily loaded, long distance travel. IPD overload springs, Volvo 700/900T OE ATF cooler, remote ATF filter, 15” steel rims, etc. Shown here in Gove, Kansas and next to the Arkansas River on CO 50 just before the Monarch Pass (11,300’). Awing, rocket box, two mountain bikes, camping equipment, etc.

Not bad for 114hp and 136 ft lbs torque.

My maternal Grandparents are from Grainfield, just North of these photos. Can you say ALOT of open country out there! My mom was from a big family, and they were all great cooks. Brings back good memories of summers past.
