About that time of year for us "down" here. I've read on some other forums that there is a big debate on leaving water in the pool, or emptying the pool and storing the liner. I know you wouldn't want to leave the pool full of water if left out all year and you'd want to cover it pretty good, but what else could harm it? If it did freeze, I'd think the flexible liner could handle it and there's plenty of room for it to expand vertically. Any thoughts or alibi's???

I have an inground pool (has liner) which is less flexible than yours. I lower it a few inches to prevent the skimmers from being totally full. Haven't had any problems after 25 years

I'd think it's fear of expanding/stretching the liner......if it were to freeze, hard to say where it'll "expand"? Up or side to side, I guess....?

That being said as a kid living in Wisconsin, I always remember my father emptying our above ground pool/liner every winter
