I have a two year old, unopened 5 gallon pail of winterized SoyShield Diesel Fuel Additive. I plan on cracking it open for this winter and was wondering if anyone knew if I should be concerned about any separation of the ingredients. I wil shake it up as best as possible but I'm sure it will take me a while to finish it and I am concerned that as I use it there might be difference from start to finish. Any opinions?

Thanks,

Joe

You will not do any harm using this. You may want to over treat somewhat. If it is two years old it will not have the synshield tech formulated for ulsd.

Hi Mark,

Thanks. I forgot about the ULSD changing things. I think I ordered this from you 2 years ago. Should I think about mixing it with another Schaeffer's product?

I replaced my 2002 VW TDI with a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 with the Cummins Turbo Diesel. I've had the Ram since March '06 and just about finished the non-winterized SoyShield I bought along with the regular version. Obviously I'm using more fuel and additives now that I've gone from 53 mpg hwy. to 21 mpg hwy. What product do you recommend most? Thanks.
