Windshield Wipers

Have tried various brands on my Accord, but for my next set I am going back to OEM inserts. After market wipers seem to make a lot of noise, they clean okay, but noisy.

Walmart sells a blade made by Anco IIRC. They are a winter blade and around $7 each. They seem to do well for now, but not sure how they will hold up in the heat this summer.

I too like the Valeo wiper blades. They cost quite a bit more but worth it IMO.

One tip for getting longer life out of your wiper blades is to go over your windshield with detailing clay once in a while to remove the gritty stuff that sticks to it.

That helps.

Simply cleaning your windshield and wipers very often will do more. I clean mine almost daily. Even my oldest windshields don't have the wiper swipe marks permanently ground into them, and I've never used clay (nothing against it).

If its made in China there is not much difference anymore. If you clean the blades clean by using an alcohol pad wipes in one direction and use 303 protectant I have found even in the FL sun any brand blade will last two years, same time period for colder climates like NY. Up north road salt and such eats the blades up so keeping them and your windshield clean is even more important! That said, I have found that as far as my Toyotas go NOTHING last longer than the factory rubber inserts.
