Windshield Wipers Skipping Across Windshield

I fixed this on my truck by carefully twisting the arm to change the angle to a more neutral position
Thanks for that post, I was reminded of the fix, were you make sure the arm is parallel to the windshield surface. That did work for awhile until the arm had metal "memory" and began to twist back to it's original state. That's when I gave up, bought a new wiper arm. But that might help the OP, it's free.. Why not try it?

Can you stop the wiper mid-stroke? if so, you can see if the blade is properly flipped to the correct side for the direction of movement. If you do see that the blade is twisted or not flipped to the correct position for the direction, then you can try adjusting the arm angle so that it properly flips when changing direction, like awguy and vic dog mentioned.
I also recommend cleaning the windshield to help with contaminants. Maybe try Stoner Glass Stripper to remove any buildup.
I agree with Slick3914 about the 303 after cleaning with alcohol but only if you have it or are interested in trying it on all your rubber and plastic parts.
