I bought a new computer at work that will be used as a kiosk in a local library. It's an HP 20" all-in-one with Windows 8. I have set up a Guest account on it, but I want the users to ONLY be able to view one of two folders on the computer. I have links to these folders on the start screen, but when I click on them, it jumps back into the "old" interface to view the folder, rather than staying in Metro.
1) Is there no way to use Explorer without jumping back into the old interface?
If not, I can deal with it. Either way, "metro" interface or "old" interface, the user can still mouse over to the right corner and get the "search" and "customize" options bar, which I don't want them to have.
2) Is there a way to disable this part of the UI for the Guest account?
If I can't do that in the stock Windows interface, I may have to buy a kiosk/security software that will restrict access to only the part of the computer I want.
3) Can anyone recommend a good and low cost kiosk software for Windows 8?
Thanks muchly.
