Will seafoam save me?

Double roller edelbrock, and we're going 4* advn the crank, 2* adv on the cam

Hopes to bring peak torque/torque curve a bit closer from idle, since I have rpm limits of 3000.

The oil pan and gobs a **** that fell down, I just dump diesel fuel in it until it poured out clean. Good enough.

Valve covers I pulled, vacummed what crud, and sent it. The little sticky gumbo boogers easily dissolved in used motor oil between my fingers. So I plan to run thinner oil, that way if the screen does get overwhelmed, it won't go totally dry and end up with pump starvation.

Some runny 5w30 or 20 through easily 2 or 3 oil filters, cut and examine the catch for progress, then eventually end up with 15w40 or its 43 year old diet of 20w50.

Next couple of weeks I hope to finish everything else and touch it off with some spark.

I know about those bullet proof Dodge La series engines. (y)

SO: What about steam cleaning after spray down & good soak with "super citrus" cleaner before even touching it? Appears you got some serious clean up before you even pick up the tools. It is truly amazing what some engines can do.
Didn't clean anything serious.

Some screw driver scraping and few toots of the air hose, tore it apart.

Its been running great. The fresh clean transmission fluid I thought was because my old man keeping fresh filters in it.

Well, apparently TC output shaft seal leaks. Maybe a quart a day with a whole day of engine running. So I just extended the fill hole so its easier to keep topped off.

This machine isn't garage friendly, and a $100 bucket of ATF will go a long ways. In a good day I can mop up $13,000 in iron.

So drippy drippy it stays.

Oh, also, my old man ran it without an oil gauge. Given my situation of desperation, I decided to not only add a gauge, I also wired in a pressure switch to the coil.

Open manifolds I'd never hear a rod knock anyways. Pre-emissions '69 10.5:1 flat top pistons roaring once again. Love it. 'Merica!!!
