affect my oils engine protection? will it affect cold oil visc.? and is it possible to quiete down a noisy engine that I suspect has sticking lifter on one side(which is what made me get auto-rx)

I dont doubt it will clean the engine at all from what i've seen so I know it will be worth it anyways

Auto-RX will not affect your engine oil's lubricating and protecting properties at all. It shouldn't even change the results of a used oil analysis if you have ARX in it. Your lifter will likely get unstuck through the rinse phase of Auto-RX because all the debris will be cleared out.

Good luck.

Thank You for a good question and and thank you "LOGIC" for an intelligent answer

THe fact is there is not a product on this board that won't perform better if first cleaned by Auto-Rx.

Some of the topic headers lately are written for shock value frankly they help us as interested reader will read string and find out topic starter had it all wrong.

I have used A/RX in all of my engines . Also in my toyota's power steering which has had oil changes with syn oil every two years. the oil came out dirty. What can I expect if I wse it in my manual trans? Does anyone have experience?

If the noise is from the sticky lifter(s), then yes. I had excellent results with my 87 Nissan Sentra, and it quieted the engine down significantly (in addition to all the other benefits).

I used it in my Corvette manual trans. I -think- it started shifting a bit easier during the treatment. That was a surprise, I didn't expect it and the trans had already felt good before ARx.

I used it in the trans because I had bought the car used with about 40,000 miles on it and wanted to be sure I had a clean transmission with a known lube in it.

After the ARx treatment, the trans oil I drained out looked clean. I had a used oil analysis done and it looked like pretty fresh oil. It didn't need changed but at least I know what's in it now.

Its great to see a group that is proactive in vehicle maintenance. Sometimes we read to much about people asking for miracle cures after its too late. ARX will alway serve you well.
