Wild Lizard living in my garage

Thats too funny because where he lives (fredericksburg) is where one of the big GEICO headquarters is. And yes that is exactly the lizard that we have here in Richmond. Sometimes they have a bit more blue but that is definetly it. And once you see one you will see a few more next year. The do not infest an area, just enough to keep the insect population down.

Our gekos were out hunting in force last night. I spotted about a half-dozen patrolling the front porch area (though they seem to hate it when I turn the lights on -- go figure). I even saw one with the distinctive dark bulge of a large cockroach in its belly.

Back when I was in law school in Gainesville FL (91-93), we rented a house that has a distinctive, near-albino crowd of geckos. They got in my garage stuff, and the little monsters' descendants are still with us, 15 years and four moves later! Same strange markings, same distinct taste for roaches. I'm off doing reserve duty this weekend -- if I think of it when I get home, I'll get a pic of one of the little guys and post it.
