im going to do an auto-rx treatment,so i went and bought the deal they are running at auto zone of 5 qrts of exxon dino and a stp filter for 7.99 went home and did the oil change and comparing the wix filter that i normally use to the stp the stp filter is so much smaller. will oil flow be the same as the wix filter? will it be ok for the rx-treatment to catch any contaminants for the cleanning period?i know just for peace of mind im going to use the regular motorcraft for the rinse period

I think Champ Labs (or the companies that brand them) have to be careful about an image problem with their shorter E-core filters. They seem to be scaring a lot of people with their small size.

Aztec, the new STP filters use an E-core design (search the forum for more info, there has been plenty of discussion). According to the manufacturer, the new internal design allows the same size of filtering material in a smaller package. So flow should be the same.
