There's a backstory with respect to factory support, once the product has been off the market for 10 years there's not any liability or reason for a manufacturer to provide parts. Victory made some great bikes, Indian made them obsolete now Indian has changed ownership as well. At least Harley-Davidson has stayed true for a hundred plus years. Personally Harley-Davidson style, pricing and performance doesn't do anything for me in the riding I do. I don't want or need 700 for 800 plus pounds under my butt in the Colorado mountains. A solid sport tourer such as an FJR 1300 or Concourse 1400 fits the bill, despite no longer being in production. Adventure bikes have appeal, however those are for folks that think they may go off road and the handling is boring compared to a sport tourer based on riding both styles of bikes.
