Why is ATF Recommended for PS System

Well, I don't think that too many here are trying to use common PSF in an ATF or other (some Audi-type astro/AG-space grade) specialty fluid application ....but many would surely like to use readily available synthetic ATF where common PSF is used. Synthetic PSF isn't readily available. Amsoil doesn't even offer it.

Anyone ever VOA plain PSF? Additiveless PSF seems like an ideal product for the Lucas line. I have more faith in ATF than PSF, but would like to get some more feedback before "upgrading".

Redline, Royalpurple, Pentosin....have full synthetic PSF's.
This is another product that Amsoil needs to add.

VOAs would be interesting. I don't believe that PSF is additive free. I suspect it to be very weak(cheap). This is why I'll stick with ATF where ever I can. I also suspect that the OE picky PSF's come with reasonable additive packages, and can't understand why ATF isn't simply used by all automakers.
