Why do people hate cats?

Anyone else have a cat that grooms them? It's kind of weird but whenever I get home, mine has to lick all of my exposed skin and hair. Then once she gives me a one-over she stops. Really strange.

Haha mine always jumps on my bed when I first lay down to go to sleep and gently does her paws on my back till I fall asleep. This is what she does:

The kneeding is supposed to stimulate lactation.

It means your cat is feeling very comfortable and is thus temporariliy regressing to being a suckling.

My tiny shorthair (Vierna) climbs onto my lap and tries to groom my beard. I do not like this trick.

No, my current two aren't into the grooming me or kneading me routines. Marie the late Queen loved springing into your lap and working you, hard, with her claw-free front paws, and longhaired tuxedo cat Oreo did it too, but more gently. My first cat as a boy used to groom our hair when we'd lie on the couch.

From what I've read, when a cat sits in your lap with his face up toward yours, and blinks at you slowly, it's a sign of great affection.

If my arms are out from the covers in bed, I get a bath when he's done with himself. My buddy has a little Shih Tzu, and their cat insists upon bathing the dog, even when he really doesn't want it. He'll hold the dog down with his paws and give him his bath.

My cat is always in my lap everytime I sit down. She jumps into my lap, does the kneading thing on my stomach (ouch! Haha),and always buries her head really hard into me purring the whole time. If I'm laying on the floor in front of my stereo playing records, she always lays on my stomach (after doing the kneading thing haha).

Seems like every body hates cats. They want to shoot them or kill them somehow.

One guy said him and his son would "Take them out" for me. Seems like nobody wants a nice kittie and I don't understand why not.

But if they were puppies they would already be gone to happy homes.

I don't understand it either. I don't understand anyone hating any animal or hunting them for sport, if you don't like them leave them the frig alone and avoid them.
People suck in general its really that simple.

We have dogs. We also have 2 outside cats, they are sisters. They keep my property picked clean of mice and rats!!
I had a mouse problem where i keep my truck and camper parked, with the cats, no problemo!

Find your local animal control to see if they know of a place where you can get them neutered and checked out for cheap. See if they can be deducted as pest control expenses.

In our neighborhood the nice cats survive the nasty ones are removed from the gene pool. We have 3 cats.

Sure, if you get turned into the Incredible Shrinking Man, Puss will consider you a playtoy and a quick snack. Otherwise, I doubt it. A cat who's been socialized, who's been around humans since her eyes opened, is not suddenly going to go berserk without a good reason.

Years ago Linda had someone tell her in apparent seriousness that she ought to get rid of her black cat, Marie. "She might have a demon!" the woman (who had probably missed some meds that night) told her. Fortunately, Linda would never listen to someone like that.

My black cat has turned into a demon. Like clockwork, every time she gets a bath. And I think she is trying to kill me, because she sleeps in the hallway at night.

My gigantic Maine Coon Cat has to be physically removed from the bathroom in order to take a shower in peace.
