I just put 5 oz (recommended dose) in the MOuntaineer crankcase. I plan to run it about 1600 miles (they recommend 500 miles) or more.

I had it in my 91 BMW last OCI. You can find a UOA I posted that had a real cocktail of stuff in it...

Was trying to clean a noisy lifter.

I aways purchased it (Neutra #131) from the BITOG member, salesrep. Go into the userlist off the top menu bar and search "salesrep" and you will get his profile, then pm him about pricing and shipping.

It smells like a cresylic acid product I used to use to clean steam heaters for heavy fuel oil. That stuff really got the baked on carbon off.

I haven't found #131 very effective in crankcases. It does very well in fuel systems.

It took me a second to get that one. Many people have probably never heard of a nutria...

Neutra, neutria....tomato potatoe. All I know is that nutrients go in the nutrias, and the nutrias are then harvested and distilled into a motor oil flush. Or somethin' like that.

Come down to Louisiana and you can see as many of those things as you'll ever want...

I picked up a case of Neutra a while back and tried it out in my old 9-5 that I was desludging. I never got results comparable to auto-rx, which actually worked in my car.... But yeah, the smell is awesome. Reminds me of the old bottles of Lysol concentrate...

When I ran Auto Rx in the Aerostar about 5 years ago it apparently cleaned the oil pan gasket so well that the gasket slipped out of place, then every time I hit the brakes a pint of oil would spew out the front. $200 for a new gasket installed. I think this was a freak case if it was the ARX or just coincidence.

I am really pleased with the Ranger, 6000 miles oil blot clean as a whistle, just the slightest hint of a ring. The Mountaineer though, big nasty ring after only 2000 miles.

SO I plan on putting this in my crankcase, I saw someone say 500 miles min, is there a max or is it just pour and go until your next change?
