SLOB and ARX

I recently had a slight brain shudder - after the last oil change I was planning on running about 1k then starting an ARX treatment. After about 500 miles I was down a 1/3 quart and, forgetting about my plan, added a bottle of SLOB. Yesterday I checked the milage and I'm close to 1k, so forgetting I put in the SLOB, added the ARX.

I have two questions:

1) Will the SLOB interfere with ARX doing its job?
2) I want to do a used oil analysis, is it okay to have the rinse oil analyzed, or should I wait for the 1st 3k change after replacing the rinse oil?

I an running (old) Havoline 10W40 for the wash, will use the same for rinse, but will switch to TA 10W30 with the desire to go to 5k OCIs.

1) Yes, it will. But you have no choice. I may be the only one that will admit it on this site, but run the cleaning phase for 3k miles....change the filter at 1.5k. and then do the same for the rinse phase. can't/won't hurt if you think about it.
2) i'd wait, only because of the SLOB

SLOB shouldn't affect ARX's performance at all. Its just a bunch of ZDDP in a base/carrier oil. Esters not likely.

Yes, running SLOB is no different than running an HDEO. Shouldn't be a big deal.

I guess I'll run the wash OCI out to 3k which will put 2k on the ARX. I'll report back if the extra 500 miles seems to have any negative effects. Thanks for the replies.
