Whole House Humidifer Recommendation

I had a Aprilaire 600A installed a few months ago on the return side. At first I thought they installed it wrong but reading up on it, I guess it provides more humidity into the system and protects the furnace in case the unit leaks.

So far so good. I've never had a whole home unit before, it's really nice!

I’ve got 3 Aprilaire 600s and a Honeywell. All hooked to cold water and they do fine keeping the house at 35% and likely higher but that causes too much condensation. Cheap and easy to maintain as long as you have a floor drain. 50% humidity in North Dakota would be a condensation problem I’d think!

The new steam humidifiers can really put out a lot of humidity but are expensive to buy and kind of expensive to run electricity wise.

I have an Aprilaire 600 on mine. I would think for you a 600 would be good enough and isn't very expensive.
