We test drove a 2024 LX trim carnival today and it wasn't bad. However a few things on our short time with it was I hate the driver assist nonsense. Why car manufacturers want to help us drive is beyond me. If we cannot trust people to drive vehicles without the help of a computer steering and braking then maybe those people shouldn't be driving. 🤷 My wife kind of misses the stow and go option. Our grand caravan has that. She wishes the middle second row seat could fold into the floor instead of having to be removed for pass-thru for 3rd row passengers. Our biggest concern the A/C didn't seem that cold even after it was driven a few miles and sat an idled. Definitely not as cold as our grand caravan. How do you like yours? Any issues? Feedback is appreciated.
The new eco refrigerant is not as cold as previous ones.
All the minivans we test drove were like this
Honda was the worst.
We just bought a 24 and love it
We have owned a odyssey and caravan before.

Browsing through these posts. 2025 and 2026 still decent and reliable compared to other brands? Pacificas are great inside, but I keep reading about their issues. Odysseys seem to be less liked than I thought they'd be in a lot of forums and articles. I think Consumer Reports have the Carnival decent reliability ratings. I want a Sienna but they're harder to find than a bat during daylight hours.

What's the opinion on the turbo hybrid vs. the 3.5?

If you had to buy a minivan and were planning to keep it for 200k+ miles, which would you pick? Does the Carnival fit this as well as any?

The AC would be a no go if it sucked on a new vehicle for me. We've all been in a car with lousy AC when it was new. Late 90's Civic anyone?

If you know how vehicles reviews actually work, it's a bunch of crap. If a popular channel says man, this new Buick is the worst and a week later, says, this Altima is a joke...Guess what, other car makers will take notice and won't want to give that channel a vehicle to post a negative video of to get 100K views.

A real review and I doubt Hyundai Kia will be providing him something to review ever again.

I'm still chuckling at the start of his wrap-up. If anyone is having a bad day go to 25:00 :D

"Let's talk about some things that I do not like with this car. And unfortunately it starts with the whole thing."

Having worked on an older carnival, I have respect for the vehicle and prefer its build over several other H/K vehicles. I have no idea where it prices out, but the sienna rental I just had with the hybrid 4 cylinder is probably the nicest minivan I’ve driven from a drivers perspective, though the older Chryslers really had an upscale upholstery and comfort feel that is hard to beat. The sienna back seats were fine enough to sit in but looked like utility chairs. However the driving dynamics, ergo, and handling spot on. It had some understeer which I’d probably address with wheels and tires if it ever bothered me. It took the AC a hot minute to pull the cabin temps down. It’s a big vehicle.
