Who makes this Duralast Battery?

Thanks, will check Walmart.

Are Interstate's still good? Local tire company that I trust used to sell them and I'd feel better have them do the installation: the battery looks hard to get at without leaning all over the fender.
Or better yet, it looks like anything from an h5 all the way to an h8 will fit, so long as the walmart in OPs area actually has an ACC since he wants it installed.

Thanks, the one in my car now is 900cca so it looks like the H8 would be my best bet. Will check out my Walmart within next few days.

How much is a battery from Mercedes? Sometimes they have discount coupons and free install for not much more than chain stores.
Called Parts Dept today: $299 ....didn't bother to ask shop if perhaps install is free; even so, thats high $$,

To answer your question on Interstate batteries. I say they are definitely still good. That’s all we buy. We had one last 10 years and 8 years. Very good batteries made to high standards. Avoid their Econo Power line you’ll be lucky to make it a week on one of those but the Interstate line is great. That’s all we will buy from now on. I’d avoid Walmart batteries. Nothing against Walmart but they haven’t ever lasted very long at all. Eventually replacing them under warranty is more hassle than just buying a new battery from somewhere else.

and if you have a Costco membership, Interstate batteries (one type) are sold there too...around ChicagoLand, for the vehicles I've checked, the Clarios made Interstate Costco batteries were identical in performance to the Everstart Maxx from Walmart...with that in mind, I look for whomever has them for the least money but admit I'd prefer the warranty ease of Costco over some Walmart stores...

Good luck with your purchase

Legend has it Johnson Controls makes them (and WalMart's, too).

My experience is that they're crap. Any time it gets <40 F here at night, they die. Last night it got down to 37 F, and the battery that is less than a month old failed this morning. Again. I think this is our 4th in about 2 years, but I've lost count.

If anyone makes a decent battery, I'd sure like to know who it is. Has anyone else noticed that we are drowning in schlock?
