I want to know!

Must have:

-Original Engine
-Original Transmission

Please state the lubricate used

So there's no confusion, let's start with 300,000+ miles.

My 260+k miles '94 LS400 failed the 300+k miles, it has original engine and transmission.
Oil: various brands dino and syn 5W30, 6-7k/6mo with dino and 12-14k/12mo with syn. Oil filter once a year, re-use oil filter once with dino.
ATF: Toyota type-II at 110-120k miles then Castrol Import Multi-Vehicles at 240k miles.

I dont know how much of this is true but my wifes uncle has a cavalier that has 325K miles on it. It is a 02 model and he claims he does 30K mile changes with rotella 15w40. He lives in PA and travels to SC at least once a month for work. He does a lot of highway miles. This car is now given to one of his cousins and i believe is still running. He sold it at 325 miles and now has a newer one. I am not vouching for this info and most of what comes out of his mouth is a lie so take it for what it is worth.

Our shop truck is a 1995 Toy Tacoma. 2.4L and 5 speed. 348K on it now. All original except for shocks, brakes, Radiator etc.

WP is original as is the clutch.

It gets a diet of whatever 10w30 oil is on sale. Usually Pep Boys proline and a Proline filter changed whenever I remember to. Usually goes atleast 8K between changes.

Well, the vehicle to which I'm referring is a bit wishy-washy on the still working issue. It was driven to the place it was retired. It was just too old for its purpose (taxi).

1981 Chevrolet Impala with a 305 - cam replaced once
1,000,000 km (~620,000 miles)

Quaker State conventional 10w-30 every 10,000 km/6,000 miles with Wix filter. Transmission was serviced about every three or four years with OEM speced bulk ATF.

408000 miles on 2004 Savana 3500 van. original engine, trans, even AC!

Still working daily. Raised on Amsoil 0w-30, but for the last two years it's been running whatever synth is on sale.

Not the highest, but........

1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
334,000+ Miles
Original Engine/Trans

Engine History (Approximate)
1-8,000 miles - Unknown History

8,000-50,000 miles - M1 5w30 or Exxon Superflo Synthetic 5w30, whichever was on sale.
FYI - Exxon Superflo Synthetic used to come in a gold bottle back then. Conventional was in a red bottle.

50,000-315,000 miles - M1 5w30

315,000-Present - Pennzoil Platinum 5w30

OCIs were roughly 6,000, then tried a 15K interval or 2 with Extended Performance M1, then went to 5K intervals with M1, which I still do today, but wity PP every 5K.

Filter Usage
1-8,000 - Unknown
8,000 - 50,000 - Combination of AC Delco, M1 and P1
50,000 - 315,000 - P1
315,000 - Present - Mostly P1, sometimes Wix

Transmission History
1 - 50,000 miles - Stock Trans Fluid
50,000 miles - 100,000 miles - M1 ATF
100,000 miles - 315,000 miles - ST D/M or Mobil D/M (Had a slow fluid leak that I was slow to look at.)
320,000 miles - Present - Pennzoil High Mileage ATF

2000 Saab 9-5
306,800 miles
Original engine, automatic transmission, and turbocharger.

Only engine work was to replace a stretched timing chain at 220K miles.

5K mile oil changes with synthetic oil, initially Mobil-1 but Elf/Total 5W/40 weightfor the past 150K miles.

1987 Legend coupe, +409k miles; original engine that's never been apart (other than for maintenance). Had two timing belts; one at 136k and another at 266k. I think I'm over due for another one.

I'd have to look at the maintenance records again (I'm the second owner) but IIRC, it's had Valvoline, Castrol GTX, and Delo 15w40 (since 272k miles....when I got the car). Uses one quart of oil ~4500 miles.

Transmission has never been apart other than separated from the engine for a clutch at 221k. I switched from 10w-30 engine oil to Redline MTF at 293k. The trans is starting to get a bit notchy and needs to be double clutched at speed to get it into 2nd when down shifting; no issues when I'm idling around a corner, though.

Still gets +32MPG on the highway if I keep it at 65MPH.

We need pictures for proof in this thread.

Otherwise, I have 4 cars with about 600-700k on original everything including tires. Okay, I'll make it more believable. 3 sets of tires. And they're all direct injected and turbocharged.

My girl had a cavalier. It was a 2001. It had 440000 kms on it before she hit a deer and totaled it this fall. It had original tranny and motor. She bought it brand new in 02. It was a leftover and got it for dealer cost. She used amsoil it's entire life, well until we got together 2 years ago and I said(at 300000 kms) that it wasn't worth 15 dollar a quart oil and I started using co-op Dino 5w30. That car never burned a drop of oil ever. It ran fantastic. A 2.2 liter motor. She does an unreal amount of driving for her job(sales). It still started first turn,no puff of oil at start up. The only money she put into that car was tires. Unreal
