Who else names their cars?

Easy

The 65 Ford F-100 is called the F-100
The 67 Mercury Parklane is called the Parklane
The 68 Mercury Cougar is called the Cougar
The 68 Ford Mustang is called the Mustang
The 72 AMC Ambassador is called either the Ambassador of the wagon.
The 73 Dodge Polara is more often called the Dodge than the Polara.

I think the trend is obvious

I used to, but it's been a while. Usually it's less about giving the car a name and more about the car making it's name obvious. I do have a fond nickname for our little Kia Spectra: the Billy Goat. That little car, on a proper set of winter tires, will embarrass many a 4x4 with it's ability to get you where you need to go. No traction control, no ABS, no stability program, just good hoops and careful driving.

I do some of them. My trucks name is Lil Red and I haven’t picked a name for the RAV4 yet lol. My dad calls my Escape The Green Ghost because he named it after the Flying Dutchman on SpongeBob lol.
okay... that last one hurts my brain... named after they Flying Dutchman, should be...Flying Dutchman.... to me Green Ghost would Be Slimer from Ghostbusters....

I'll admit, i've never watched a ton of Spongebob, I don't have kids, and was already in my 20's and working when it came out... so if that's an in universe joke that went flying over my head...apologies...

My wife has names for the cars - Marie (2000 Saab, R.I.P.), Saabastian (2010 Saab still with us), Maru (Outback).

When my son was little we visited New York City and he got really into subway trains for a while after that. He started calling our cars by their colors, as if they were subway lines - Blue Line, Gray Line, etc. I started doing that with him and now it's automatic. "Let's take the Blue Line today." Pretty soon he'll be driving them...time flies.

Depends. I name some them
The Caprice is Leo. Corvette is Ruby. Malibu is turbo. WS6 was Gwen. I dont have a name for the truck
