Well, he plays WoT with me sometimes, in the clan I made called "PUCKR" in homage to my wife's Boxer's rear end, since he has a severely docked tail and you can see his fart cannon puckering constantly, and he's very gassy.17,000 posts and tracking cars that drive past. So you don't use your mobile phone's data or for device's that don't have data access. Money-wise one has to look at what their mobile provider charges for personal hotspot vs what the vehicle's plan charges.WiFi hot spot in my car?

I lived next door to the neighborhood busybody some years ago, and if she had this technology available to her at that time she would have been ecstatic to say the least. At that time she kept detailed notes on all activities she observed going on.This is for a 1 month interval.

Your standard home router has this ability but it's likely not available with the stock software. I know dd-wrt has it which can replace the stock software on a wide variety of routers. The tool or functionality can go by different names but one might be "network analyzer". It scans the airwaves in the area that it can reach and in the case of @Rand, it's turned on 24/7 and continually logging. So… what’s the hardware and sw that gets you these data?
Unlimited data on our phones, so probably not something we need...........plus the security concernsSo you don't use your mobile phone's data or for device's that don't have data access. The rental we had to go to FL included a data hotspot that we used.
No more security concern than your home's WiFi, if it had broad enough coverage.plus the security concerns
Indeed. A concern. No need to roll around with it. Say you had three cars and home.........now you have 4 security concerns is all I'm saying. PLUS I'm largely ignorant, but automotive rolling router.........how to upgrade for next gen wi-fi router? (Home is pretty easy)No more security concern than your home's WiFi, if it had broad enough coverage.
