The near-new tires on the Dakota had one flaw when I bought it- the left front must have skinned a curb, part of the white lettering is gone. Still has nice sharp-edged raised letters on the sidewall- just little or no white.

I've seen on the internet that some sort of touch-up pen or paint is available for this. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it possible to do a good job without being a great artist?

I think black on the white lettering would look even better =D
If I could find something to make my tires look like blackwall tires I'd do it in a heartbeat. A sharpie marker for tires! Erases the 80's as fast as you can write.

I haven't used one for a while but in the past they did work to a degree. The only thing is they wear off after a while and you have to do it again. At least the ones I used.
