For now, temps get down to about 60F. 2003 Honda Civic LX, 32k. Arguments for one or the other?

I would choose the second option. I prefer a good conventional with a 5k oci as opposed to a synthetic and a 10k oci. JMO others will disagree.

I'd go with the Mobil 1 deal and waste half as much work and time, less oil to be recycled, only one filter to throw out, and probably better protection from the oil.

I would get the Mobil 1, It's a much better deal than the second one, there you only save a dollar compared to wal-mart everyday prices, when in the first one the savings is enough to make me want to go to the parts store to get it.

Are you going by the OLM or do you have a used oil analysis basis for going longer?

If you've driven 32,000 miles in 9 years I'd buy the conventional and change it once a year.

EDIT: we had that same car, well at least an 03 Civic, and 7500 on conventional was fine and less than the manufacturer OCI which I thought was longer than that.

You did not state what the oils are. How can we compare anything?

But the two conventional oil kits are my choice.

He did say Mobil 1 or Mobil super conventional.

He was meaning 1 OCI of M1 or 2 OCI of mobil super for about the same price.
