Which oil?

Its been a couple years since I had a garage, so I havent been changing my own oil. Well Im back and ready to stockpile oil again. Im behind the times on what is the best deal in oil right now. Here are the cars. I think they all used 5w30 besides the Vic, but I live in the deep south and wont be driving in the cold anytime soon.

2003 Tundra 3.4L (35K)
2002 Malibu 3.1L (52K)
2005 Cavalier 2.2L ecotec (36k)

and occasionally
2001 Crown Vic 4.6L
2003 Buick 3.1L
2008 Camry 3.5L

I used to be hooked on Motorcraft 5w30 (syn blend). I used Motorcraft, supertech, and purolator filters (whatever was on sale for each car). Should I still hunt for this stuff?

For a dino I would use Pennzoil conventional.

For a semi-syn that Motorcraft is a very good oil as well. If you like this oil keep using it.

All those filters you mentioned are good filters. I use SuperTech because I find them to be the best dollar wise for a 5k to 7.5k mile oci.

cool I didnt know if they changed the supertech design in the past couple of years. the last I heard was that fram was changing their design, probably for the worse (worser?). Ill see what I can do to get a stock of Motorcraft. All cars see a mix of city and highway. It gets hot here. Would 5-6K between oil changes be fine? I dont plan on doing used oil analysis.

I am not an expert.
However, like you, I continue to see good things about the Motorcraft synthetic blend.
I am guessing that 5-6K is within the manufacture's recommended OCI, and you are looking at an above average oil.....so it sounds like you have a good plan....unless you have some severe service application.
I am also guessing that your Toyota vehicles are outside (new enough) the sludge issue motors/years.

I dont think the 3.4L ever had any sludge problems. As for the 2008, I hope they cleared up the problem by now.

5-7.5K intervals would be fine
