Honestly, I'd bet all contributors don't own a car with that EP6/N12/N16
engine or even have seen it on the flesh. Yes, when they age they burn oil.
However, it's not the pistons and piston rings. It's the valve guides and the
corresponding valve stem seals. "Piston soak"? It won't help, not a dreg.
Same with thicker oil. Thicker oil can't repair worn engine parts. Finally, it's
a French engine. .

haha this sounds spot on I did read somewhere about the valve stem seals and valve guides being dodgy on these. doesnt seem to have any other issues bar a bit of smoke from the oil burning in low gears mostly.
Do you reckon anything would help slow down its death? or will she finish her short French life only doing 83k miles lol
