Which oil for 2022 wrx?

Walmart doesn’t have Mobil 1 0w-40 in stock.

My options are:

Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 Euro L

Mobil 1 5w40

Castrol 5w40

Castrol 5w30 A3

Or of course a regular 5w30

I'd probably go with Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 or Castrol EDGE Extended Performance 5w30.

I'll have to check my records as to what the shop that built the $30,000 engine in my 2016 suggested, but pretty sure it wasn't any 30 oil.

Says they used 10W40. That's for built motor making 450 HP. For something stock, I'd use 5W40.

LSPI can be a real concern on these TGDI engines.

The Euro L is the Pennzoil equivalent to the Mobil 1.

Alright, sounds good. It's pretty cheap, too. It's only $27 at Walmart, assuming they still have it when I go tomorow

I haven't decided if I want to do it myself or take it somewhere. I'm calling some people today to get an estimate.

The WRX: It's my friends car. He wants an oil change kit for Christmas.

I asked him what oil he wants, and he didn't know.
